ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah.
Qur'an (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:2)

مَنْ قَرَأَ حَرْفًا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ حَسَنَةٌ، وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا

Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten

The Importance of Reading the Qur'an

Reading the Qur’an has a deep importance in a Muslim’s life. Through reading and understanding it, Muslims can develop a stronger relationship with Allah and live according to His guidance. Regular recitation brings peace to the heart and reminds a person of their purpose in life. Many people find that the words of the Qur’an bring comfort and clarity, especially in times of hardship. The Qur’an is also unique in that its recitation in Arabic, even when not fully understood, carries blessings and positive effects on the soul. Therefore, reading the Qur’an not only enriches our lives spiritually but also shapes our character according to the values Allah has set for us.

Virtues and Rewards of Reciting the Qur'an

The act of reciting the Qur’an comes with numerous virtues and blessings. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi). Each letter of the Qur’an brings great reward, making it a source of ongoing blessings. Additionally, the Qur’an will intercede for its reciters on the Day of Judgment, protecting and guiding them in the hereafter. Reciting the Qur’an consistently can lead to a life filled with blessings, forgiveness, and closeness to Allah, ensuring the reward is not only in this world but in the eternal life as well.
